JUNE 2026 - Sacred Heart of Jesus

The month of June is traditionally dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Catholic Church because it falls near the celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart, which is observed on the Friday after the feast of Corpus Christi (usually in June). This devotion grew especially from the revelations received by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century, in which Jesus showed his heart as a symbol of his immense love, mercy, and compassion for humanity.

By consecrating the month of June to the Sacred Heart, the Church invites the faithful to reflect deeply on Christ’s love, expressed through his suffering, sacrifice, and constant presence, and to respond with trust, reparation, and love. It is a time to grow spiritually by meditating on his mercy and striving to live according to his compassion and humility.

The month of June, which is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, holds a very special place in Sylvie's heart. This month reminds Sylvie of a sacred moment of surrender in her life—a deeply personal encounter in which Sylvie experienced the presence of Jesus and his Sacred Heart.  In that grace-filled moment, Sylvie was touched by his immense mercy and forgiveness in a way that transformed Sylvie completely.

Sylvie was filled with an overwhelming sense of love, peace, and a lasting awareness of his divine purpose in her life. From that moment on, Sylvie's faith became unwavering, rooted in the certainty of his presence and his boundless compassion.

As we enter this month of June dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, you are invited to open your own heart to his love, as Sylvie once did, and to trust in the mercy that he so generously offers to each of us.

Prayer

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
fountain of all love and mercy,
I place all my trust in you.

Help me to love as you love,
to forgive as you forgive,
and to live with a heart full of compassion.

Draw me closer to you each day,
and make my heart like yours
gentle, humble, and full of grace.

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I surrender myself to your care.

Amen.

The above prayer invites us to respond to Jesus’ love by transforming our own hearts and actions. Specifically, it calls us to:

  • Trust in Jesus more deeply, placing our lives and concerns in his care.

  • Imitate his love, by loving others selflessly and sincerely.

  • Practice forgiveness, letting go of resentment just as Christ forgives us.

  • Show compassion and kindness, especially to those who are suffering or in need.

  • Grow closer to him spiritually, through prayer and daily reflection.

  • Become humble and gentle, shaping our character after the Heart of Jesus.

  • Surrender ourselves to his guidance, allowing him to lead us in our lives.

With much love and gratitude. May God bless you all.

An Act of Consecration to The Sacred Heart of Jesus

I, [name], give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being other than to honor, love and glorify the Sacred Heart. This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to Him. I therefore take You, O Sacred heart, to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the hour of death.

Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the strokes of his righteous anger. O Heart of love, I put all my confidence in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty, but I hope for all things from Your goodness and bounty.

Remove from me all that can displease You or resist Your holy will; let your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my heart, that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You. May I obtain from all Your loving kindness the grace of having my name written in Your Heart, for in You I desire to place all my happiness and glory, living and dying in bondage to You.

Amen.
